Every single bed in my house has one and they are great! They are lightweight and not overly hot during these summer months. I’m sure they will be nice for the winter as well. They machine wash/dry on high heat just fine. I’ve washed the oldest one at least 4 times so far and it’s still as good as new. It’s a king size and it fits ok in the machines. It might take some adjusting/rotating in the dryer to get it completely dried but I just usually leave it in for one cycle and take it out to air dry the rest of the way. We have three cats and a dog and it doesn’t seem like hair accumulates to this fabric like others. I bought the first one as an insert for a duvet but we like the grey color so much we decided not to even bother. There are corner loops for attaching the duvet if needed, which is nice.
