This is annoying when you are driving and need something from the compartment below it. I think that this unit is an excellent idea and it holds a small notepad and pen for me. Love that I can use the unused space. I just wish there was a way to keep it from falling out of the hole.Love to know what others have done to keep it secure.Adding to this review - in the summer months this device will not stay in place. It causes me a lot of frustration when I open my arm rest compartment and find this organizer laying on top of the things that I need to reach. This is perfect to keep items out of the way and in a discrete location if needed, ID, cards, cash, cables, etc. Lid leaves enough clearance to allow for items to also be stored in the tray below and not interfere with this compartment. The tray itself was easy to install and uninstall. As you can see, the rubber/foam corners, keep it snug and in place. It’s also nice that this is see-through so you don’t need to open it every time to see what’s in it. I have prime membership, so it arrived within 24 hours.
