My technique was mostly to blame as I was new to these pens. I have really thick skin so I had to go across my skin multiple times REALLY slowly for it to be able to reach an acceptable depth. If you are looking for a pen that has the power to go really deep like at the dermatologist, well, this pen just doesn't have the power to do that consistently.Even at max speed and max depht I cannot get this thing to consistently break the skin. It just has absolutely no power whatsoever. I thought it was the needles and went through 3 out of the 6 that were included and came to the conclusion that its just the motor.
