It clearly looks like SilverCrest think their customer dumb, by making them buy another model just for some minor application user interface changes while they could both offer the same features (not the same hardware and that's of course absolutely fine). And this is quite a mean sales practice, because proposing application upgrades without proposing the fermentation or smoothies mode than the Smart model offers for instance is actually... mean. There is no extra additional cost to offer these buttons, just unlocking some interface features that are voluntarily locked down on the Connect model.
