The replacement set pieces are a little rougher, but unblemished, and of an acceptable quality. The owner of Chess Armory contacted me to see if I was happy with the original set and to provide a very nice PDF from Wikibooks on how to play chess. Good for beginners and intermediate players. I told the owner about my problem and that I had set up the return to desertcart for a replacement. He offered to refund the replacement cost.
