These pants designs are not made up of the same material and so therefore will not fit the same. Which may explain why some have made the claim that these pants are too small in some cases while others have made the claim that they are somewhat small in other cases. That said, the one thing that I can definitely agree on is ordering a size higher then what you normally wear and in some cases ordering 2 sizes higher then what you normally wear.Here is the break down. Beige 036, Khaki 036 I would recommend ordering 1 size up from your normal size! Gray 043, Khaki 043, I would recommend ordering 2 sizes up from your normal size! Look at the numbering very carefully. Those numbers indicate the different designs and fit of the pants. After listening to the comments below I ordered a size up from my normal size and still the 043 design ended up being somewhat small! I then ordered another pair of pants only this time ordering a different color and 2 sizes up the Khaki 036 design thinking that the fit and feel was going to be the same and they ended up being different which meant ordering 2 sizes up was a mistake on the 036 design. The other model pants I can't comment on.That said, I really do like the look and feel of these pants despite wasting a ton of money so far trying to get the sizing right. Which is the one thing that I do not like about this measuring system. How are they determining the height of an individual based off of the size of their waist? In other words, in a world where there are people who are short with wide waist and tall with narrow waist that makes absolutely no sense! Measuring only the size of the waist leaves way too much room for error when it comes to the length. How come 32 inches measured in the east not the same 32 inches measured here in the west? Again, great pants if you can hit the lucky lottery and actually find your right size the first time around. A nice snug fit if your thighs aren't too big. The stitching is good but could be better, due to the fact that some of the joint areas seem a bit loose, I guess time will tell how long they last. Also, I noticed the description states that the material is 100% cotton, but it's actually 97% cotton and 3% Polyester, which if the perfect blend as far as I'm concerned, I was so pleasantly surprised to see that even though these pants fit snug on me, there was an amazing amount of comfy stretch to them, just perfect! The pockets do a good job of keeping items relatively secure, they are deep pockets with most of them having a simple snap button to keep them closed. There is also a nice corded texture to the opening mouth of the pockets. This is a nice little touch that just indicates to you by feel where the access points are for the pockets. It only took a week for these to come in overseas to my location here in the middle of Canada (Winnipeg). I was happy with their quality when I received them. I'm just over 6'1" so buying pants when I can't choose the length is always a risk so I was very happy to see these pants were long enough. The only issue I had is they were too small in the waste. I wear a 32 so that's what I ordered but they were a little tight so I re ordered a size 34I have no problem recomending these pants but make sure you buy 1 size bigger than normal in the waist.
