Review: Nice abundance in jar. - I'm new in the world of cooking and baking. I go by recipes in cooking videos. It's good to have quality Bay Leaves on hand when I need them. Good stuff.
Review: BAY leaf flavor is unique! - Asian bay trees are NOT the same as the California Bay tree [bushes in my area] in terms of flavor. Seventy years ago, I grew up with wild CA bay tree (bushes) growing near my house. The flavor of the CA bay leaf has NO parallel to or competition with the rich, nutty aromatic overtones in the CA Bay Leaf. Bay leaves from India are their own flavor. Hence, IF one is cooking an Asian recipe and desires the same flavor as the local India restaurant, then do NOT use the CA bay leaf. For American cuisine and flavors of childhood at grandma's, you must use CA bay leaves. Just as some people claim Coke and Pepsi taste exactly the same, well, neither do the two different bay leaves!

## Features

- Ginger is a common spice in Asian, Arabian, Indian and Western cuisine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice abundance in jar.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BAY leaf flavor is unique!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fresh
*by I***Z on December 29, 2022*

Very good quality, fresh, nice aroma, nice green color not faded they are pliable not dry and brittle like some other brands, large whole leaves, about 17 to 20 per container, no small leaves like you would find in other brands a few were so large the tips were trimmed by the packer to fit in the jar. bought Dec. 2022 and expiration date was out to 2026 plus a few months. Wish there were more and the price a bit better but I don't use a lot of bay leaves so these will probably last me a year. Since they are fresh and retain much of there potency I use less than I would of other lower quality brands.
