This is thicker, squishier, and feels more grippy if you try to rub the ball on it or whatever. It's basically got more control, and it absorbs an appreciable amount of energy from the ball, which makes friendly volleys easier to pull off for us amateurs. So far we've only used them a few hours, and so far all the adhesive is holding. Recommend TT, it's fun. A two pack for $35 is a bargain. Most of these rackets cost $20 each. This is not the ideal racket for beginners, but amateurs and good players will really enjoy the sponge and rubber. The balls are very high quality and have a tremendous amount of bounce. Only down side is the handle. It is just a little small, your hands get used to it though.
