The wider trimmer by itself leaves a fine 5'o clock shadow when whisking over hair in a hurry and the narrow trimmer cuts much finer, as in making sharp lines. I use this for around the ears and boxing in my sideburns. And when I say I've used it, I mean I've used about 3-4 a year because I cut my own hair with it once a week. I also use it in a manner NOT recommended by Philips Norelco - I use it in the shower with wet hair (& conditioner for cutting ease) the majority of the time. Over 3-5 months of usage, there is no corrosion or anything else. It holds a charge wonderfully and just works.The only faults I've had with the G370 is that the 'spring' mechanism on the guard that allows you to vary the cutting height no longer provides the proper resistance after a couple of months/many uses - resulting in some slight varied height. Again, I used the G370 once a week+ to cut my hair as well as to manscape. This is why I usually buy 2-3 at a time so I can just chuck one into the electronics recycling bin at my local big-box store and move on.At $15-$20 each, the Philips Norelco G370 All-in-1 Grooming System is worth the price. Yes, the G370 has some faults but it just works. It is a great price for around $15 on Amazon.Lastly, there is a product similar to this one, the Philips Norelco G380 All-in-1 Grooming System and it is almost identical to the Philips Norelco G370 All-in-1 Grooming System except for the color and the stand but be wary because it is priced a lot higher (~$80). The edges of the blades are covered enough so it maintains the short look we love and without having to be so precise with holding it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3 week review (10 days on vacation) *by J***S on June 23, 2013* To start, I didnt expect this to be the best device in terms of quality and longevity for $19.00 but it holds its own in terms of bang for the buck. I decided to give it the first couple weeks of home use and then my most recent 10 day vacation of use before writing my review. The G370 does a really good job on daily facial hair maintenance. I used the mini foil shaver, both edge trimmers and the nose/ear hair trimmer. I havent used the 2 hair/head trimmer attachments as I really didnt need to with a 3 week haircut regimen. The mini foil attachment really surprised me, it really got me by during my vacation in the areas I wanted the least amount of hair. It doesnt replace my actual razor at home but sufficed well while out of town for more than a week. The larger of the two edge trimmers I used as a chin and beard groomer for the days I opted for the 5 o' clock shadow look and the smaller edge trimmer really helps in the fine line areas of trimming as well as touching up around the ears/hairline. I used the nose/ear trimmer a couple times and it works pretty good, well enough I didnt get bothered by nose hairs tickling my nostrils at all, heheh. It holds a charge for a very long time & offers enough power to get the job done in a timely mannor. I went 5 days on a single charge while on vacation and honestly only attached it to the charger to be sure it would have full potential for shaving & trimming, not because it was dieing or running out of charge! All the attchments remove and connect easily and can easily be cleaned form hair debris with the offered cleaning brush. I think some purchasers were using water to rinse thier attachments but I opted not to just to add to the longevity of the metal parts. The only attachment that I used that collected the most hair internally was the foil shaver wich is a double attachment (2 pieces) that allows for easier cleaning. If I never used the trimmer ever again I feel I got my moneys worth out of it already. To end this review, Id like to note that I believe some reviewers leaving negative feedback were expecting the results of a $100+ shaver/trimmer.
