Review: Great cage! - Great quality. The pan that goes on the bottom is thick and very durable. It was a little confusing to put together at first. But ended up coming together great. The side walls are a great thickness. Not easily bent. It really is huge too! Exactly what we were looking for. It has 3 latches on the front that are very easy to latch and un-latch. They stay secure until you move them. We put a pad and blanket down in the bottom (it's just hard plastic, which is great cause it's easy to clean) and our dog was very comfortable. Worth the price. If you're on the edge, just purchase. You will be pleased.

**Q: What size would be big enough for a regular dachshund?**
A: I have large male cardigan corgis, who are the same proportion as a full sized standard dachsund (because cardigans were bred from dachsunds), yet the corgis are much bigger in body and head.  They fit quite happily in the medium 30" long crate.  There are charts on the internet with recommendations plus ways to measure your pup.  Basically, you want them to be able to lay down flat and comfortably with room to spare above their head (this does not count the "sploot" position as corgi owners call it, where their back legs protrude straight out behind them in back, thus extending their overall length about 10".  Has to be a normal laying position with head up).  That's a medium sized crate for most.  It's nice to have extra headroom for when they are standing, but I'm pretty sure a dachsund can stand up.  You could go larger with the 36" and accommodate the sploot and as others have said, give him room to turn around, but the corgis do fine with the 30-31" length.

**Q: Would the 36 inch crate be large enough for a boxer?**
A: It's ideal for my 65 lb. rangey mutt, taller and longer than most boxers. He has enough height and enough room to lie down and to turn around. Something to consider is the size and weight for storage. This folded 36" crate is pretty heavy and unwieldy at about 25 lbs. with a soft mat included. Also, any dog has to be trained to be comfortable in a crate (see http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/dogs/tips/crate_training.html ).

**Q: Why is this cage so much cheaper then the other larger cages?!**
A: I am not exactly sure but I would think its cheaper because it is not the secure lock model.  My puppy was able to easily jiggle the door and escape.  I ended up buying a more expensive model that has a much more secure locking mechanism.

**Q: Will the 30x19x21 fit a 4 month old Sheltie and Cavachon together?.**
A: I had a 3 year old lab in it.  I know the Sheltie will be fine, but I don't know what a Cavachon is.  If their total weight is not over 60 pounds and height less than 36 inches, it might work.

We purchased this 24-inch iCrate for our new miniature schnauzer, Sadie, and it has been perfect. It was easy to set up, feels sturdy and secure, and the divider panel is a nice feature as she grows. Sadie took to it quickly, and it's been a great tool for both crate training and providing her with a comfortable space of her own. Excellent quality at a great price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Sturdy Kennel for Small Dogs

Very sturdy and simple to put together. No tools required for assembly. Basically unfolds and clips into place. Be careful not to pinch your fingers though on the last panel. We have a larger wooden crate for our puppy but I was looking for something smaller to provide a safe place for him to sleep as he trains and to provide a safe place for him to stay in the kitchen while I’m cooking. It is lightweight enough that I can just pick it up and move it room to room without collapsing the kennel. Arrived in excellent condition and has a great door latch that is stable and secure. This size is perfect for a 24 inch padded crate mat for him to rest on. I don’t like to just leave the uncomfortable plastic tray as his space to lay but it is easy to remove and clean when needed. The divider that comes with it might work for smaller breeds but would make the space too small for my puppy’s needs. It’s a great size for the car if needed as well.
