But I fixed this by just adjusting and then checking with a tape measure-I found that the dress hem guide was a bit too loosely fixed, and would not stay in the same height despite my efforts. I bought a different one for my daughter at the same timeI bought mine. She's about a 6/8, and we purchased a different brand. Hers was cheaper, but noticeably sturdier. I purchased a sleeve for both, and just tugging the sleeve over mine threw two parts completely out of alignment.I wish I'd spent an extra $30 or $40 and bought a better dress form. ### ⭐⭐ dress hem arm won't stay up :-( *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 30, 2020* I waited too long to return it because i haven't really started using it in my sewing lessons. But the hem arm won't stay up, it slides down even though it has a flip mechanism and you can raise/lower. It just isn't tight enough. It was a fairly easy fix, added tape to the inside of the plastic circle part, but I shouldn't have to FIX a brand new dress form.
