### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy this and save lots!
*by T***M on July 20, 2013*

I'm a diehard Nikon enthusiast. Started long ago with a little Nikkormat. Moved up to F2, then to F3 with motor drive. I couldn't afford pro models so I hang with a D7000 and a new D7100. Always buy Nikon lenses (except for a highly rated 50mm Sigma) and flash units. For the first time I cheated, however.I did buy the Nikon Mb-D11 for my D7000. But for my new D7100 I bought this Xit MB-D15. I looked at the Nikon model and the other genereic brands. Decided on a knock-off given that the Nikon is made in China, too. I'm so happy I chose this Xit model!I've only run through about 150 photos with this battery pack but all works perfectly: the pack fits securely and flush with the D7100 baseplate. The two wheels and all buttons function flawlessly and can be programmed just like the Nikon model. The fit and finish is identical to the Nikon unit. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Xit manufactures the Nikon unit.Buy this with confidence and know you're getting a battery pack that looks and functions like the "real thing." But then enjoy the $200 you saved! I spent about $70 on this Xit pack instead of the $270 for the "Nikon" model and do not regret it at all. The only thing I didn't get was a Nikon name badge on the battery pack or the joy of spending an extra $200! Hope this helps anyone on the fence about this purchase.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was Skeptical, But, Works, Looks and Feels Great
*by B***S on March 28, 2013*

I've owned a couple different Canon EOS SLRs over the years and have always bought the Canon branded battery grip with each body. When I got my 6D, I decided to take a chance on this grip since it was almost a third of the price of the Canon version. At first, I was skeptical about buying a non-Canon accessory, but I am happy to report that this grip works, looks and feels perfect. The color perfectly matches the 6D, the rubberized textures feel identical to my other Canon grips, the button response feels great and even the text printed on the grip matches the fonts and colors on the 6d perfectly. My only gripe with this grip is that the battery holder tray seems to fit a little more tightly into the grip body compared to my previous Canon grips. It's really not a big deal at all and doesn't impede function in any way.Overall, I would definitely recommend this grip for the 6d.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fit and finish matches the SL1 body well, fits tight, but has limitations
*by B***S on March 10, 2015*

I bought this grip for 2 reasons:1) I knew the SL1 was a battery hog and would need 2 batteries for all the extended shooting I planned to do with this thing;2) I have big hands and this grip fills my big hands enough to make the SL1 feel like a full-sized DSLR. It really feels very good with this grip.Though the Canon SL1 was not designed to electronically function with a battery grip, the fit and finish of this grip is reasonable. It is not the carbon fiber plastic of the SL1 body, but it is a hard plastic with a matte finish to help blend into the camera body. Many photographers tell me it looks very stock as if Canon made it. There is a cable to get the shutter button on this grip to work, but that does not include AF or AE functions with that button. What you're getting is simply the remote shutter release function that would occur with the optional Canon remote shutter release accessory. So Manual shooting only with this battery grip shutter button, which is just fine for your M shooters out there. The spin-on lock screw attaches very tight, with absolutely no wobble because it is not gear driven but a direct screw attachment. It is also a smaller diameter so it is out of the way of my fingers. I prefer this design compared to the other grip I've seen for the SL1 which is a really large, obtrusive lock wheel that would be prone to break in short order.Kit comes with shutter cable and IR shutter remote control.Nice kit and packaging for something made in China. Overall I'm very happy with this 3rd party battery grip for the Canon SL1.a
