Second, and perhaps most importantly, the Chinese tubes that come in this are on the bad side of okay. They get the job done (technically), but they hum, the reproduction is lousy, and I don't think that, for $180 or however much this amp is going for, that's worth complaining about. I've put some new Tung-Sol 7581As in for the power tubes (fantastic) and a brand new and beautiful Tung-Sol 12AX7 in for the audio tube. The clarity is exceptional, and that statement does not need qualifying. I've owned the amplifier for almost two years now, and I never used it much until I put those tubes in. I can't stop listening to my records again; It's like I'm re-learning what some of my favorite songs sound like. I'm running an Audio-Technica AT LP60 for the turntable and Audio-Technica ATH M50 headphones. Overall what most would consider a "budget" setup, but I can't ask for better than this! Review: No AC cord included. Useless. - Amp arrived in package sans AC adapter cord.
