The large opening makes for extremely easy filling and mixing. I used a Sharpie to highlight gallon marks, and use Teflon tape for all the threaded connections. The lid threads on very easily, and the hanger for the sprayer hose is GENIUS. NOTE: The hanger part on the lid needs to be tightened PAST the relief valve for a positive seal and proper hanger positioning. I bought a 4 pack of TR-416-S valve stems so I can easily pressurize the sprayer. I contacted Chapin customer support with a question and was amazed at how fast they responded and how helpful they were.
