Review: Seems to work wonders with Idiopathic Cystitis!! - My cat didn’t have a UTI, however she suffers from idiopathic cystitis and oh my gosh this stuff is a life saver! I had recently adopted two kittens (5 months) in September, and one of them started urinating on soft things within the first week. At first I thought it was from a new environment, however every week or two she would pee on something soft. Over the months it got worse and I had been trying a lot of things to resolve it. The rescue I adopted from agreed to check her urine and she had blood but no bacteria in her urine. This can be from a huge number of things. I tried a lot, more litter boxes, different litter, more high spots, a calming diffuser for cats. Nothing. They both also eat wet food. And it seemed to happen more often. After months of stress, someone on reddit recommended me this brand of d-mannose, saying it helped their cat with a similar condition. After trying so many things I was a bit skeptical but I ordered it. Within a few days I started noticing a BIG difference. She wasn’t peeing on things. Now, 3 months later, the peeing has seemed to stop completely. There is also no blood in her urine. Not sure what part makes this stuff work but it for sure worked for me! I almost thought nothing would help her. Now I keep using it in both their foods as a preventative, as it clearly is keeping her bladder healthy and it’s also a great way to prevent any UTI’s, so I am pretty thrilled with that.

I have four cats, all over 13 years old. Two of my cats were suffering badly with UTI, crying all day and night, plus walking back and forth to the litter box. So stressful for them and for me. These are my fur babies, and I had to do something, especially when I saw blood in the urine. I decided to make a vet appointment, but my vet was closed. After suffering from UTIs myself and using D-mannose, I thought I would see if they had it for cats and here it is. By the time I brought my cat to the vet, she had no symptoms other than mildly elevated kidney levels, which I’m hoping is from the UTI and will clear up. For those of you who have had UTIs, you’re probably familiar with D-mannose, one of the best supplements for UTIs. The little container came with the tiniest little scoop and I put one scoop into about a half an inch of lactose free milk and my cats drank every bit. To change things up a little in the morning, I would give them the milk with the supplement and in the evening I would give them pure unsalted chicken broth and mix the D-mannose in it. But make sure it’s pure, no onion, spices or anything…just pure chicken or bone broth. I am so happy because between the milk and the broth they were getting the proper amount of supplement morning and evening. Of course, when my vet came back, I still had my one cat checked out by my vet. The vet did administer an antibiotic to make sure, but there were no signs of UTI. So for me and my fur babies, this was a lifesaver. Thank you!
