Lame
This is utter garbage. They are preying on a significant market need with a void of product to fill it. This simulation is worthless.I have 5 kids. That means I get to teach 5 kids to drive. Currently two of them are at that point. Being a gamer, it seemed obvious that with todays technology it should be trivial to implement a reasonable driving simulation that would allow children to learn the rules of the road and prepare for actual driving experience. However, this is not today's technology. The graphics from this game date from the early to mid 90's genre. They are very boxy and crude. Given the life like appearance of todays games this is unacceptable.I could put the graphics aside if the application accomplished is goal of imparting some level of driving experience to the unexperienced driver. However, it does not. The driving experience in this game is so ridiculously unrealistic that it has no ability to impart useful experience. When accelerating with the accelerator completely floored the vehicle takes some 10-15 seconds to reach 35mph. And when it does it feels as though you are going 10 mph. Breaking is equally sluggish. Further taking a corner to sharply at 10mph will result in a rollover of the vehicle.Still even with all the above it could have been saved if there had been any effort to impart information to the user. Aside from the sample driving test questions which I will not cover as I did not review them, this simulation makes no effort to impart a driving lesson. The user is set free in an open world with no guide and no lesson. As though you dropped your kid off in a parking lot with the keys. Even a simple lesson plan would have been sufficient. Stop and Go lessons. Turning lessons. Signal lessons. Lane Change lessons. And the biggest lesson of all the four way stop lesson. If I could have one thing from this package it would have been an adequate four way stop simulation, but it has nothing.Save your money, this application provides 0 value. What this application has done is inspired me to learn 3d programming and build my own simulation. I could not do worse than this sampling.

Love it!,, It's addicting to me.
I love it!!!! I doubt if it will help me get a license to drive but I am getting a lot of practice with focus and watching for signs and checking my blind spots and all that. After I got the wheel calibrated right then I was able to handle it. First the wheel was not calibrated right and I couldn't keep the virtual car on the road. It was like driving drunk. So got the wheel calibrated and I was able to handle the wheel properly and drove in snow too! In the last session, I missed one stop sign and I thought that was great for not being able to see it in the snow. This is fun. Only thing is,,,, it's addicting..... LOL! Thanks for this wonderful software.. Love it...

Not great, but useful for practicing "left side traffic" driving
I bought this with the Ferrari Thrustmaster simulated steering wheel to "practice" driving on the left side of the road for an upcoming visit to the U.K.Let's start with the positive, I was able to get it run reasonably well on a Windows 7 quad core computer with NVidia graphics card. By "run well" I mean that I was able to see a simulated 3D view of parking lots, traffic lights and highway driving. I have it connected to a 32 inch high resolution monitor and it provides a good experience. The steering, throttle and braking were close to realistic. It forced me to confront the issues of how to make left and right hand turns and to start make the accommodations for driving on the left hand side of the road. That was my primary objective and after using it for about an hour, I achieved what I wanted to do. That't the good part. Now on to the bad part, I could not get it to run on modern Windows 10 computer with more than enough processor power. To be fair, the product does not claim to run under Windows 10. I was lucky enough to have an old computer around to run it. The program requires running a separate program to configure the steering wheel. At first I followed their advice to use as many button as possible on the steering wheel. But that also means you need to document what all of those little buttons do. In the end, I set up the minimal configuration and used most of the default keyboard keys. Also, it requires the use of a CD drive. I tried copying the contents of the CD to a the hard drive, but it would not run. This is really old software, that according to the CD has not been touched since 2012. The quality of the graphics is circa 2005, but for my purposes, it was good enough.I would not recommend the program for someone learning to drive. But it is the only reasonably prices software that I could find that would let me practice driving on the left side of the road.

Emphasis on safety driving
Helped ease my nerves on being on the roads but this emphasizes safety way too much for my liking. The light turns red way too fast where I'm turning on a green light but then in the middle of the turn it'll flash saying I'm turning on a red. I would like there to be more normal driving conditions as it was mostly highway. The thing that sucked about going on the highway was that there would be different conditions such as fog, snow, ice, rain. I pretty much drove around the parking lot in a circle most of the time because I hated the highway, this improved my real life turns. Also you will probably get into a lot of crashes in this game because it emphasizes safety so much. Btw I have never gotten close to crashing in real life and I passed my new york city road test on the first try. I have no regrets buying this game because it helped eased my nerves driving and my turns but it doesn't really simulate real life driving. Get it if you want a feel on driving and are too afraid to go on the road/nervous being on the road.
