The first channel it picked up while scanning was one I couldn't get with my old antenna no matter how many different ways I positioned it. I was very happy about that. It also picked up another channel I had trouble getting as well as all the other ones I watch. It also picked up many useless ones which I deleted. I'm happy with the fact that all the channels I watch are coming in without me having to move the antenna to different spots for different channels like I did with my old one. So far, so good, and I am very happy with my purchase. I hooked this little guy up to my TV, with no amplifier, and I was able to get 2 HD channels over the air. This was surprising, since the antennaweb site indicated I would need a directional powered antenna.
