I am a previous WEN user for about 5 years until my hair was thinning from using it. I Loved Wen, but can no longer use it. I have been searching for a comparable product and Finally found one, this product is great. The Only thing wrong with it is the SMELL, its not a good one it smells like chemicals, they really should add a nice fragrance to it. I can deal with the smell because the product works. I use a small amount of conditioner with a nice smell after. I think this product it wonderful and even better than WEN. My curls are defined and practically friz free. I don't really even have to use a conditioner I just do for a nice smell.I also use FRIZZ EASE Serum extra strength after shampooing on wet hair and let dry for beautiful natural curls with shine. When I used Wen I also used the same Frizz Ease product. I have tried Sally's brand and Walgreens brand comparable to Wen cleansing conditioner and they were not good for me. But this one takes the prize.. I have short-ish, curly hair so I find I only use half of the recommended amount. As a guy who uses a fair bit of styling product in his hair and has a somewhat dirty job, I find my hair clean and fresh smelling after each use. The smell is high-quality and unique, but will certainly be described as overly floral and sweet to certain people. That said, I do not find the scent overpowering and my GF loves it. My only gripe would be my hair is too clean afterwards so it needs additional conditioner to replace the moisture.
