Review: Finally a bike carrier designed specifically for pets! - This product is incredible! Let me first tell you that I have had the hardest time finding a carrier to take my 30 pound pup on rides with me. I've gone though several products before finding this one. It seemed none of them had the strength to or safety components to make me feel comfortable that my pup is safe on the bike. Pros: - This is an actual pet carrier designed for pets and to safely carry your pet while bike riding. - The 4-point harness connects on all four sides and once adjusted you never have to adjust it again. To add, this harness also has two buckles on the collar instead of one, which makes it very easy to get Baxter in and out without obstructions. Once he's in you just click the two buckles together and off we go! - The Mat is fully reversible so you can pick which fabric your pet would prefer. Also this makes a pretty comfy seat cushion for myself as I can disconnect the harness, remove and lay flat on the ground as a seat for me once we get to point B if I forget my blanket. - I love the classic "Bike with a milk crate look" and like the look even more with my pupper safely inside. This thing turns heads! So cute! - All you need is a bike with a rack and one of the two sized crates specified. - If you don't have a crate already attached to your bike rack this product does come with 120 pound tension heavy duty zip ties so you can easily, safely and securely attach your crate once found. Cons: - It does not come with the standard milk crate(s). (I actually had one in my garage but they're pretty cheap if not free to acquire just do some research) - The harness can be a little tricky to set to the appropriate length in the beginning (but its nice cause you only have to adjust this one time) The main takeaway is that there is finally a safe way to bike travel with your pet larger than 10 pounds! Just keep in mind this is an accessory to assist in safe pet travel. I guess it makes sense being called "CrateMate" as you still need a couple basic things to complete this products full potential. You wont be disappointed with this well thought out product! Let the fun begin!
Review: Perfect for doggo and our e-bike rides. - LOVE this!! Exactly as described and it fits my milk crate perfectly! Doggo also loves sitting inside! There’s also Velcro on the sides so when you place the carrier inside it will stay down. Can’t wait to for my rear rack to arrive so I can take doggo out for more bike rides! Oooh and just as a FYI, crate needs to be purchased separately!

A: Thank you for your support! You must be reading our mind :) as we are currently looking into the design of a semi retractable canopy that will fit securely onto a standard 16qt or 24qt crate. **Q: Will this work with a Mobility Scooter?? Front or back?**
A: Hi Schnauzer Mom, 

Thank you so much for your inquiry! We’ve seen lots of customers get creative with this (attaching to moped, 4-wheeler, scooter etc.) because CrateMate could ultimately fit on any type of provided rack. Assuming the mobility scooter does have a luggage rack either currently on the front or back this will provide the safest way to attach your specified crate to said scooter.  If not, maybe see if said scooter has available accessories/rack for the specified model.  From what I can gather through my research is that a lot of these types of scooters already have baskets attached to them.  In this case, it’s important to note that unless the attached basket(s) measures 12x12x12 or 12x12x18 it won’t fit into the existing basket.  CrateMate is specifically designed to retro-fit either a 16qt or 24qt standard milk crate. If you can see a way on your specified model of scooter to safely attach one of these sized crates (luggage rack etc.) then yes you can certainly use this product with your Schnauzer. **Q: What front bike rack can you use with this product?**
A: Hi there! Any front bike rack that can support your pets weight as well as and most importantly one to fit to your specified bike in question. Be sure to check the load capacity for your rack in question. I will add, if you attach your specified crate to the front rack it would need to be the 16qt (square) crate as the 24qt will extend too far off the front end. Please be extra careful riding with your furriend in front as even the slightest shift in weight can cause and unstable and unsafe riding experience for both you and your pet. We do recommend a rear riding experience for your pet as they will be more comfortable know where you are and it will ultimately be easier for you to ride. If you do choose to attach your crate to a front rack and install the CrateMate conversion we would love to see it!

**Q: Is there a way to safely put both my dogs in this crate? They would prefer to ride together and combined aren’t more than 45lbs.**
A: This isn't something we've tried yet but certainly something we've thought about. Here are our thoughts on this question. In order for this to work you would first need the 24qt crate to ensure theres adequate space for each. In addition to "safely" make this happen you would need 2 of our 4-point safely harnesses which at the time being they are not sold separately. There should be plenty of places on the side of the crate to attach both harnesses. The first harness 2 points would attach through the harness holes in the CrateMate liner and 2 points to the crate (where they would normally be) . The second harness would likely share the crate 2 points from the first harness and then connect the other two points up front. This will set each pup in front of each other and both would be safely harnessed in. Goose just loves this. It works perfectly. My husband found a large crate and he bolted it in a few different places to my bike. The harness works so good, Goose is very secure. It took my husband a while to figure out how the harness is needs to be assembled, but once he got it all together it worked well. no issues with getting Goose in and out of the harness.
