It was as described, it was packed very well. All pieces/screws were accounted for. We ( my husband and myself used a drill and Phillips head screwdriver( both are NOT needed). I have a 2006 Mini Cooper s R53, 1st generation. I was lucky (NOT) to purchase a car without a armrest, yet they have models exactly like my mine that do. With that said, the clearance area for that space is very narrow as pictured but with it being adjustable I was able to get it just so. The extender gives it the perfect height and clearance for my handbrake when in use. It was fairly easy to install, we has to finesse the screws because it's a tight area but we got it done...
