I needed them to be under centerpieces for a Valentines dinner, and the packaging they were in, kind of a clear zip top kind of bag, wasn’t wide enough so the ends were curled. I laid them underneath heavy books for days and it helped some, but they never did go completely flat. Secondly, the red color was pretty washed out. Not a good red at all. So if you're wanting true red these are not for you - they are a red-orange. Also, as someone else posted, the manufacturer packing is such that the edges are indeed curled.
