Well if you don't know, those old engines can be a pain to get running, keep running, adjusting carburetor, and so on. Nothing like Harbor Freight and their affordable engines. While everything was a direct fit, there was a slight issue with marrying the pulley to the crank. The original engine had a machined shaft to hold the pulley in the exact location it needed to be. With the new engine the shaft is the same diameter for the entire thing. This shaft adapter saved the day.
