Review: Great filter / pre filter - Worth the extra money. This filter from Pentair helps to remove the massive amounts of chlorine used in Arizona to sanitize the water The chlorine in the water damages the resin bed and water softeners. Decreasing the water softeners service life. Using this charcoal filter will also provide improved taste and removes odor from the water. I have tried other filters, I will stick with this Pentair Charcoal filter a head of my Kinetico Water Softener.
