We got it to replace a 120V 35W halogen G9 lamp, and it provides at least as much light output. Having the three settings is a nice feature - we find that the middle setting is very good for much of the time we use the lamp.The light color is more 'daylight', that is more toward blue, than the incandescent lamp we replaced, but it is actually quite a good color for reading.We can see that it would be easy to scratch the plastic base, but that's not a particularly big issue, since this is really a utility lamp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Liked it so much we bought another! *by J***O on Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2016* We were replacing an old desk lamp that stopped working.
