Now I can see the game and I even have several different levels of brightness. It was easy to install if you have a little experience in working on handhelds and consoles. Would buy again if I had another gameboy sp. Review: Great screen! - This screen is amazing! It’s a huge upgrade over the standard front lit one. The colors and brightness are great, and there’s no hazing if you don’t look at it perfectly straight on. I feel it’s a bit pricey but i love it. Also the wire that came with it didn’t have enough flux on it so i wasn’t able to solder it into place to control the brightness, that really bugged me because now i have to open the thing back up and get some proper wire to finish the mod. For those two reasons I’m giving four otherwise it’d be an easy 5 star product. I’d like to mention if you’re doing a full rebuild like i did you should consider getting some replacement hinges. They’re easy to overlook (and break) but a very important part of the console. Thankfully mine popped right out but it isn’t always like that. Also get a good tool kit if you’re doing this don’t trust the desertcart tools they’re trash and will likely strip your screws or themselves because they’re made of the cheapest, thinnest metal possible.
