Still, I wish they made them with braided cord rather than plastic because the plastic will give out where it enters the connector again due to the stress of the weight of the female end and holder for the screw plug. And for some reason the remote on my earbuds does not work through the adapter, alas. So it's a trade off: no remote or earbud control and all protected and waterproof or not so great protection and total remote control.
