Review: While it will not look perfect, I think that something clear like this will ... - This is a unique product that has more flexibility than many other products I have seen on the market. I purchased these because I have a very drafty apartment front door. The gaps at the bottom and top of the door are close to one inch in some places (the door is not square and so the gaps are uneven). The gap at the bottom is so large that most draft stoppers won't work properly. With this draftguard, I can take care of both the bottom and top gaps by placing one draftguard at the top of the door and one at the bottom. While it will not look perfect, I think that something clear like this will look better on a crooked door, than something opaque which would highlight the crookedness even more. I plan to use either a staple gun or a small screw to secure these so that they will not come unattached. update on the review 12/29/14 I was able to install the strips in such a way that the majority of my drafts were eliminated. The adhesive on these strips is very strong so be sure that you have a plan to install the strips so that they are level before you remove the adhesive backing. I installed them on the bottom and tall side of the door and am satisfied with how it looks (considering how few options I had as a renter). I removed the adhesive backing, attached the strip, and then predrilled holes throughout the length of the strips approximately every four inches. Then I used small brass screws (brass heats up easily and can break so best off using a screwdriver to screw these into a predrilled hole) and small brass grommets evenly spaced. It created a nice finished look. I think the strips should hold up for a long time using this method. I decided to handle the top of the door draft with this: http://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B008XGR6J6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 called M-D Building Products 43305 42-Inch Cinch Door Seal Top and Sides, Brown, 5-Piece. I attached it to the outside top of the door and drilled holes evenly spaced to finish with brass screws and grommets (grommets not needed for this application, but I like the way they look). It looks good and eliminated the majority of draft at the top of the door (would have eliminated more if the gaps on the door weren't so huge).
Review: Works as Advertised - Installation instructions were simple and I had this attached to the bottom of my door in a matter of minutes. It seems to work great as a draft stopper, which is what it is advertised to do. I only have one issue, and it's probably a non-issue for most. From the photo, I thought this product would be entirely white, not only blending with my door, but also blocking out light. My neighbors tend to turn the hall light on at night and I occasionally have trouble sleeping because of it coming through the large crack under my door. The product is clear, aside from the white strip that sticks to the door, therefore it does not block out any light. This is not a huge deal. It's not very expensive and it serves the purpose it was created for: To stop the draft. I can't speak to it's longevity, and many others have stated this is a temporary solution at best, but it seems to stick pretty well if you follow the instructions. I am not using any additional tacks or screws. It's a four-pack and I only needed one, so three spares for me. I'm okay with it for now. At some point I will replace it with something that can also block light from under my door.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Miracle Worker for my old wood front door
*by M***. on December 18, 2013*

I'm so glad I found these online. My old wood front door (old apartment) was a huge challenge since it's very uneven along the bottom and those spongy door hugger things just wouldn't let me shut the door, at all. This was SO EASY! Avoided calling the dreaded maintenance dept of the apartment complex, I just did it myself. Just let it out of the package to relax a bit and if you have a standard 36" door, you won't even need to trim. Just line it up where you think you're going to put it and peel off the backing to stick. The glue on this strip is serious glue. I know this would take off the paint (maybe more) if attempted to be removed. I didn't need to prep my door since it was already painted with flat paint before I moved in, I knew it would stick no problem, but if you have something varnished or glossy, you should prep first to adhere the sticky part the best to your door. Best of all, no more smoke smell coming in from under the big gap under my front door. Plus, since these came in a set, I've got a couple of neighbors who had the same problem that I've been able to gift them for the holidays. What we call a win-win! Keep in mind, to keep the gap covered, I can no longer have a door mat directly under the door or it will pull this off, so I've had to keep my doormat in the apartment over to one side so that it doesn't try to pull off my door sweeps. Small price for increased energy efficiency and decreased smells of neighbors burning. I'm a happy customer. I thought about adding some small screws to further hold mine in place, but it doesn't seem to need it. Mine is really glued on well. Sure to get years of use.
