More than 50% of the time the power button failed to turn on or off the TV. I wasn't sure if this problem was within the TV or within the remote. Therefore, I took a risk by buying this replacement remote, but it was worth doing since the price is very reasonable (just $9.95). I found at Best Buy a standard replacement remote made by Sony that claims to support Olevia TVs, but it was selling for more than $20 + tax.This replacement remote is entirely identical to the original one (you can't tell the difference, except for a few scratches on the original one) and all the functions work perfectly. I was so impressed that I decided to purchase a second one to keep as a backup, just in cases I have another remote-related issue in the future. As time goes by, it will probably become very difficult, or perhaps impossible, to find another replacement remote that looks identical to the original one. The second replacement remote also works perfectly.
