I purchased the paddle for use with a 16 quart enamel pot that does have to be babied somewhat and the wood paddle works great with no scratches I don't own any other Pots or Skillets with non stick coating anymore since it seem to inevitably come off no matter what overtime mostly use stainless steel pots an old Lodge iron Skillet that ive used for thirty years also a Smithy farmhouse chef skillet with some butter or cooking oil with metal spatula across the bottom without fear just dont use the spatulas sharp corners to hard or it will dig in and scratch the seasoning off but thankfully simply just use will restore it hope this answer helps some.
