The "handle" sits comfortably in my hand. Mine was about 36 inches long, so I cut it down to 34 inches. Now it's perfect. I plan to use it on long walks, when the arthritis in my foot bothers me. I'm looking forward to longer walks in the park AND looking fashionable with a nice sturdy cane. And if I'm attacking by a bear or something I can defend myself lol 😂😆

Bought for my brother after his hip replacement surgery (age 41, 320#, teen car accident damage). It certainly looks cool, and the pictures are a realistic representation of what you get. High quality stick and lacquer. The stick tapered down to about a half inch in the bottom foot, but flexion was minimal even with all my weight (240#) on it. Unfortunately, the 37" option was too short for him. Brazos has a 40" option on their website, but not on Amazon. I would suggest buying a longer one, then trimming the bottom to fit. Their customer service was quick to respond and great advising me. They were also helpful with the return. =( Sad, because it was a nice and very cool accessory, if you need a walking cane.
