I didn't think my torso was *that* short but the high waist of the bottom meant that the waistband actually met the bikini top with no midriff showing. I could have easily made this into a one-piece by sewing the bikini bottom and top together. But alas I wanted a bikini that fit. So I spent one morning with my sewing machine reconstructing the bottom so that the waistband panel remained intact after cutting off 4" of the 'windowpane' section of the bikini. It was a bit of a challenge with the double panel and the ruched fabric, but after a few hours, I got it to work and it looks right.The top is very cute (I especially love the structure of the cups and the halter tie and the ribbed layers of fabric) but I found the little tie section to be awkward, so I just tuck it into the cups of the bikini. I could cut it off without fanfare, but I like that it makes the band of the bikini thicker when 'doubled up.'I absolutely love the aquamarine blue color. Heavenly.After my alterations, this is one of my favorite bathing suits ever. But a warning to short gals, and short-torso gals, that high waist is HIGH and if you don't have a sewing machine you might be left with a challenging alteration on your hands. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Cute suit! *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2016* Love the suit!
