I have allergies to plastics and to molds and mildew so now I can actually clean my bottles and continue using it for a long to come - as long as I can keep it clean. The Pyrex glass bottle is thick and the silicone sleeve that fits over it is also thick allowing it to tip over and remain unbroken. I bought a smallish bottle first to make sure it would work and not break. The lid is stainless steel keeping the water clean and safe. I like having a covered glass bottle, because when I leave a glass of water unattended, there is a strong possibility my cat will drink from it, or my dog will knock it over with his tail. This will fit in my car cup holder. The silicone sleeve works well, the bottle is very protected and non-skid as well. 12 oz. is a good size for me. The opening is comfortable to drink from.
