A: Hi, thank you so much for your question. No, the amber background light of this 5x7 rectangle LED headlight is not separate, it would light up together with the white arrow light as DRL(Red Wire). When you turn on the DRL, no matter you switch to amber turn signal/High beam/low beam function, this amber Background light will keep lighting up. Otherwise, if you not wire the red wire, then the amber background light will not light up. If you have any question, please feel free to contact us.

These headlights are brighter than my bran- new 2023 Chevy Malibu's headlights..And the daytime running lights that built-in them are brighter than the stock OE headlights.And they are mostly plug in play in my '91 S10 BlazerTechnically I did have to do vary little modifications for them to work properly.I had to run a wire to the key switch for the day time running lights to work & the sequencel turn signals also need that power from the key to work properly.I plan on buying more of these lights so when they finally do stop working or get damaged by something, I'll have replacements on hand.I highly recommend these headlights absolutely.

These are pretty good lights. RIght out of the box the lights feel solid. The construction seems pretty good. Installation is very straight forward on my Jeep Cherokee XJ.8 total screws:2 on the outer light trim4 for the headlight trim bezel2 lights for the turn signal below the headlight ( this is for the addition of the driving lights and turn signals)The lights are bright and have a good cutoff. The light up the road without blinding the oncoming traffic (as long as your headlights are aimed correctly) I love the sequential turn signal. It is a nice touch. I can't wait to get more time driving at night to enjoy these. So far I'm pretty happy with these. Pics and videos to follow.
