Next I checked the multi-switch (it is located where the cables from the satelite split into your house) and I found it to be very warm/hot to the touch. I ordered and installed the "Eagle Aspen" multiswitch from desertcart and my problem was fixed. At the end of the day I saved myself a costly repair visit by Direct TV! It works as advertised. We can now watch one channel and record a different channel. It also allows for the addition of extra Directv receivers, on their own channels, without having to get a new dish with more LNB's. Easy to install.
