## Overview

Sylgard™ 184 is a two-part silicone elastomer designed for potting and encapsulating applications, featuring a very low dielectric constant ideal for electrical insulation. It cures fully within 24 hours at room temperature or 15 minutes at 150°C, and withstands temperatures from -55°C to 200°C, making it a versatile, high-quality sealing compound favored in labs and industrial settings.

## Description

Same as the Kwik Gard but in its original container. A two-part silicone elastomer, ideal for potting and encapsulating applications. Very low dielectric constant sealing compound used in patch clamping and many other lab applications. After cure, will withstand -55 degree to 200 degree C. Curing time for this silicone 24hrs@25 degree C, and 15 min.@150 degree C.

Review: I must give five stars - Excellent stuff. I live in Singapore and purchased PDMSs from three local vendors. All of them are weird and can not yield good film, they either stick on the glass substrate or are very dirty. I finally purchased from the USA directly and the shipping is fast (just one week). The PDMS has good quality.

**Q: May i check the expiry date for this Slygard 184?**
A: I have used Sylgard 184 years beyond the posted expiration date without any problems. If there is a concern, you can easily run a test sample to see if it still polymerizes and looks and feels as you would expect. I bought new because I was running low on the activator, but I believe I am still working with a batch from 2010 and it is fine.
