**Q: Is this suitable to hold back a heavy wooden garden gate?**
A: If when locked open and the gate is protected from strong wind this should be fine. However if the open gate takes a battering from the wind, probably not as the “spring” doesn’t exert great down pressure. Hope this helps

**Q: My garage door is about 4” above ground. Would the bolt throw be long enough to reach the ground and hold the door?**
A: Probably not. Mine was the same so I mounted a wooden block lower and then the bolt to that. Worked like a charm.

**Q: Would this work with a 3M adhesive on the back instead of screws?**
A: I would not think adhesive would be strong enough for long.
