It's very fresh - mango and coconut, I think. The smell is my favorite part. I think it helps moisturize my hair, but there is no slip to this product. I usually mix it with one of my conditioners that has more slip, otherwise I can't work my fingers through my hair with the mask in at all. It may not be right for my hair type (3a/b) but if slip isn't a must-have for you, then I would definitely give this a shot.
