Accuform Fits 1982 1983 1984 1985 Toyota Celica & Supra Dash Cap

Very happy. One nice aspect is that you can modify the cover to fit your needs, they give you a lot of material. I cut off the lower hanging lip that covers the vents so it sits just on top. Then i trimmed the over hangs on each end. Then i trimmed down the edge that goes just behind the spedo / tac cluster. Used double sided tape along the bottom of the front edge on the long side above the glove box to keep it flat.It popped in fairly easily and looks much nicer than the furry carpet i had up there. No need to paint it or dress up the cuts, just sand down the edges. Looks OEM, its that nice.

This thing was super hard to install. Once it was in it looks good. But I tried to slip in to test fit and trim but it was almost impossible to get in and out. Finally just gave up on removing to trim and pushed into place and did some light trimming where needed. Only issue with this is I was never able to put adhesive on it. It is not going to move but jury out on if it starts to buckle under sun. I also cracked a couple of the corner areas because so tight going in. Think I would suggest just putting adhesive on the old dash and going for it. Trim as it goes in.

Not the right size to fit.

I expected it to cover the entire dashboard, but it did not cover the instrument hood plus it seemed a little longer than my dash. I returned it and my refund was a little over $35 less than what I paid for it!

So this is not all on the manufacturer. Dash caps work better with some designs than others. I have had one for a car that fit perfect and didn't even need any install. This one for my MKII Supra was tough. Too many angles to try and get it around and it cracked in a corner a bit. I ended up having to do extensive trimming with a dremel and adding some door edging to make it look good. It lays pretty well but not fully down up by the vents. Much better than the cracked dash underneath but I'm trying to decide whether to just go with one of the carpeted kind. Keep in mind I'm pretty picky and again...these dashcaps are VERY dependent on the specific vehicle. If your dash is fairly flat it will likely go on and look good. If it has a lot of curves that's when these get tricky. Also, basic colors like black look good but sometimes the unique to make colors do not match exactly. In most cases dash caps look better than the carpet type of dash covers and are a good fix to a trashed dash. Just some things to be aware of.
