In reality, this is simply a USB pass-through card that provides NO native USB services. You have to plug a USB 3 cable from the motherboard into the card in order to distribute USB services to the provided ports.If you are looking to add USB 3 support to your computer - this card will not do it - beware. ### ⭐⭐ Nice Idea But... *by F***S on June 4, 2020* The puny chipset fan was noisy and annoying once I hooked up the power cable. ### ⭐ Caused Hard Drives to disconnect *by E***K on June 10, 2020* After installing this device, one of my hard drives would disconnect through out the day and not reconnect until after a reboot.
