    Plastic heads, costume quality, kind of cheap

They will be fine for crafts. The decorative heads are all plastic and with rather low detail. The end stops are also plastic. The straight pin parts are metal, but a rather fat gauge. As actual hat pins, they are too cheap for my taste. The wide gauge pins will leave holes in felt or finer fabrics. Not really great for wearing as hat or shawl pin, these are more like toys. Would be fine for costume parties/Halloween/kids, etc..
