"It easily holds an Olympic style bar, but will it hold a standard 1 incher? Let us put it to the test!" And I did, and it does. **Q: Can someone tell me how many inches between the dividers.** A: There is a 6 inches space between the dividers. **Q: Will this scratch the bumper plates if the knock together?** A: What? They're bumper plates! Go beat the heck out of them. Scratch them up, bang them around. **Q: How many plates can this hold. I have a pair each of bumper 55, 45, 35, 25, 15 and 10s?** A: Careful with the 55's. Mine fits two Vulcan Alpha 45's tightly in the last spot.
