These straps run through the cabin of the vehicle. So depending on placement, you could have straps touching your head while you drive. The straps are then sewn to the nylon pouch. The nylon pouch has hooks so you can securely tie your load directly to the roof rack. Also on the nylon pouch, is 1 round black cover which is attached by Velcro which covers the air valve. It is a large air valve about .25-.50 ID. On the side of the nylon pouch, running almost the entire length is 3 Velcro strips and one long zipper to make it easy to take out the air bag portion to make it easy for repairs or replacement.
