Review: So much better than flares... - Our marina mandated safety inspections for all boats that included flares. Two year old boat failed because flares were 3 years old. I still had 6 from the past two times I bought new ones (got 3 of them wet by over zealous spraying/washing). Now I just need to pop extra C batteries in. Will definitely save some money. This thing is so bright - very impressive. Feels very sturdy and is a breeze to use.

Great safety addition to the boat. Not worried about out of date flares. Packs easy in boat compartments. Appears to be very durable. Not sure on battery life, I hope I don't have to find out. Good value in my book.
