I figure that they will be good for scavenging replacement parts, especially of the cells in the mattress, should we have more problems. We never did find a leak. Better than anything she had in rehab/ hospital, those are only about 2 inches thick. This is a full 7-8 inch thick mattress. Heavy, but got it on the bed frame myself. Fully inflated in about 3 hours. It had to be ready when transport brought her home. This was a stage 4 wound, part of tailbone was exposed. Every wound nurse that came to the home to maintain the wound vac therapy remarked that this was an excellent mattress. After 6 months if a wound could be downgraded they said mom's wound came down to a 1-2 stage, and tailbone was no longer exposed. The control panel stays at the patients weight setting even when the power came back on. It does beep and red light to alert you, soon as electricity came back on it stopped beeping and re- inflated fully, only lost small amount of air for 15 min. outage. It has the red CPR belt in case paramedics need it. It is strong too, a medic stood on it a few seconds to get her on the gurney and take her out. Regular twin size fitted sheets fit good. It is fully waterproof vinyl cover that we wiped down with bath cleaner on a rag when mom was in hospital before coming back. She was unable to move herself, so this mattress did flex with the semi automatic bed frame to raise her head up completely. We used stuffer pillows too, to get her on her side. We could push down and change her incontinence pads from the front without disturbing her and mattress can take it, very strong. It quietly shifts the pressure about every 8 min, only faint sound of air, nothing that scared her. I have nothing bad to say.
