That's to protect the flowers . You immediately smell stems and blooms . That's the first scent that I perceived with this perfume . This is very shortly followed by a smell of sugar dusting . Thirdly I smelled cinnamon , nutmeg and musk. Combine all of these and you have a beautiful perfume . I sprayed it onto my wrist to try it . I was impressed and my husband commented on the beautiful aroma . The scent stayed on my wrist and also lingered in our bedroom where it was sprayed . I would definitely say that this would pair with a lovely outfit at a wedding. I would go as far as to say that it would be heavenly for the bride .
