I did run it through the dishwasher and used it in the micro. Both went well. I did catch it on sale and bought two. It was worth the money. The container is a good size, 7 cups. A: They are made of plastic

A: The lid is not glass and you remove it when heating in the microwave.

**Q: how to get replacement lids, because the edges & latches break too easy?**
A: I had that problem the first usage of one of these. I returned it for a replacement which so far has not broken as have none of the others I own. I actually love these things. They are superior to every other "to go" container in my opinion. The plastic lock on latches are the only weak point of them I have experienced to date. I own over 30 of these in the different sizes and colors available and it has only happened to one so far..

**Q: Can the sleeve be taken off?**
A: The manufacturer specifically says "do not remove the sleeve".

I have three of these and one more on the way. They are wonderful and so user-friendly. They don’t slip out of your hands. They don’t slip around on your countertop. They do everything they say they do and they’re good looking as well. I can’t say enough about these products and this company. Try it you’ll love it. They really are leak proof and microwavable.
