Review: It does the job very well, while also allowing to go at own pace! - This tool i was worried about at first, i thought i would hurt myself or it would be too painful (male with thick and fairly dense leg/arm hair). Yes there is pain, however that is to be expected the first time, every pass makes the next basically feel like nothing. This tool literally pulls the hair out and has no cutting power. There are 2 speeds, i recommend using the fastest setting and it results in a faster extraction. I can't recommend this tool for sensitive areas like the face or up beyond your thighs into the nether regions (you could maybe, but the hair seems to be deeper and the skin is sensitive and is generally more dense, if you choose to do this it's going to be a good idea to do so slowly making passes where you don't press the tool close to the skin but instead hover as close as you can. Once you thing things out it gets easier and more importantly not overly painful. over all i give the tool a grade of A 5 stars, the skin is indeed smooth and nearly hairless, though you will likely have to spend a little time dusting off the hair from the site you are working on and looking for those stray hairs. also impressed that the tool has not broken with the amount of torque i put on it with the sheer volume of hair it had to yank but satisfyingly it is still rocking strong. If you are trying to have longer lasting smooth skin without the hair then this is your tool that gets easier the more you use it and likely also applies to later use assuming the hair is maintained with the tool when it comes back in 3-4 weeks, using it fairly regularly the pain is no longer a factor as low density means far less intensity. first time using on dense hair = medium to high pain next few passes = low to medium pain follow up sessions /maintained use to remove rogue hair growing back = low or no real discomfort. what at first looks like blades are in fact not and when you feel the pain it is not going to cut you so you can press it to your skin while spinning however i recommend for thick areas gradually hovering closer allowing the tool to grab the longer hair first and then running it again like a game of limbo going lower and lower until you can press to your skin without feeling the sandpaper sensation ( i promise you are not getting burns or cuts the tool is just triggering your nerves since it is plucking many hairs at once in around the same area it just feels like that time you skinned your knee on the asphalt, but unlike that scenario you are not bleeding or actually hurt and you can avoid this by following the prior advise. All in all great tool and in my opinion worth the money. Good luck out there.

It needs to be used with caution on high speed or it can pinch or bite, but it comes with a guide that is designed to help a beginner learn to use it. The low speed is about the same as the speed of my battery operated epilators. The battery types slow down quickly as soon as their batteries begin to lose power, but this corded type will run at full power all the time. Slow motion epilators hurt more than full power epilators, so this model won’t hurt as much during use. It doesn’t need extra space for holding batteries, so it’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand easily. The high speed is probably okay for legs, but it might be too much for underarms because you need to maintain careful control in delicate areas. It’s true that hairs grow back less thick and less coarse when you use an epilator on a regular basis. Once you get over the first week, it’s not nearly as bad. Skin needs to be totally clean and totally dry to avoid problems. Putting a small amount of plain cornstarch on underarm areas and then wiping it off with a dry cloth helps to make underarms smoother and dryer before using the epilator. It’s not really necessary for legs. You can blow and brush the tweezer area of the epilator off after every use to keep it clean. When you first begin using an epilator, it does sting during use and for awhile afterward. Cool cloths help relieve pain and inflammation. It’s probably best to plan the first underarm experience when you can stay home for at least two days, like over a weekend, so you can use cornstarch instead of antiperspirant and simply wash sweat off as necessary. Once you get the initial hairs yanked out and the initial inflammation subsides, everything will be easier and less painful. Doing underarms in the evening can make using antiperspirant more comfortable the following day. And after awhile, you won’t need to use the epilator as often because hair growth should slow down considerably. I’m not sure this particular style would work well for facial hair or the bikini line if necessary. If I were inclined to use one in those areas, I’d probably want a thinner style with battery power. But for legs, I’d pick a corded style over a battery style because doing legs uses up too much battery power. For underarms, I would use either type. This particular model was able to grab super fine leg hairs that my battery styles and tweezers couldn’t get. **Q: How loud is this epilator when used?**
A: It's actually not that loud, I always put some music in order to entretain myself and I couldn't hear the epilator working with my headphones on, so I guess the noise it makes is just fine! Hope this was helpful

**Q: Can you use this epilator on chin hairs?**
A: Yes, I use mine on upper lip, chin and neck area.  Unfortunately, you will have 1 or 2 stubborn hairs that you will still have to tweeze.

This tool i was worried about at first, i thought i would hurt myself or it would be too painful (male with thick and fairly dense leg/arm hair). Yes there is pain, however that is to be expected the first time, every pass makes the next basically feel like nothing. This tool literally pulls the hair out and has no cutting power. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT FIRST EPILATOR - HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR NEWBIES

Excellent product. This is my first epilator and I had so many questions when I was researching and shopping so I wanted to share a few thoughts on this zero-waste option as a beginner for anyone else on the same road. This little beast gets the job done. I highly recommend. ABOUT ME :I have thick black hair from scalp to sole and deathly pale caucasian skin; after growing to about a third an inch, this guy ate them up. PAIN: Yes it hurts: the same amount as waxing just a little more prolonged. You do get use to it, and for me it became almost relaxing after a few uses. On legs and arms it's more of a warmth with occasionally sting. On the face and pubic area it's a bit like lots of little harsh yanks, with a little heat and pinch. For me, the underarms are the most intense and "painful". PRODUCT DETAILS: It makes similar noise to an iPhone vibrating really hard on gravel. The casing and wire feels flimsy in the hand but they're holding up very well. PRETTY PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T BUY A BATTERY OPERATED. USE TIPS: I'm still learning but I've found that using it like an ultrasound wand on legs (straight up and down perpendicular to skin, in small slow circles) and like a straight razor (slow swipes going with the contours of jaw cheeks neck and chin) on the face work best. CONS: It does take several passes to get all the hair; I've had small amounts of breakage where the hair gets cut but not pulled out and leaves the unsightly little black dot under the skin. After a nasty struggle with androgen-secreting tumors, I've been looking for a magic solution to my full lady beard and body hair and this product is my miracle find. (Note: the only reason I've given four stars instead of five, is because I believe that a slightly pricier more deluxe version from this same Epilady brand might be better for people with a larger budget or more experience.)
