The first and yet still..favorite shining album ! Everything about this recording is exceptional ....it stands out in the shining discography in my opinion ...to actually hear what niklas is speaking(dont speak Swedish) is absolutely chilling in a appealing way to say the least,so I greatly appreciate the songs in English...keep that in mind while listening to the apex of despair and true darkness that is shining

Yet another great album from Shining. Redefining Darkness has the band expanding their sound and further pushing the limits of Black Metal. Why "The Ghastly Silence", "For The God Below", and "Hail Darkness Hail" weren't world dominating metal hits in 2012-13 I will never know.
