Review: One issue. But an easy fix for it. amesome stuff - Nothing more frustrating than getting my pliers off the pegboard and the hook sticking to the tool just a little. And then the hook falls out of the wall. There will be no more of that scenario, since these screw in lock hooks. The only issue with these (as I mentioned in the title of this review). The screw that will secure the hook to the pegboard. The screws they provide are not wide enough. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen a screw so wide as .25 diameter. I went through all my bucket of used screws and bolts, and nothing. But, If you get these hook, and I am more happy with these hooks over any other I've found. A person need some of those little push in locks to make the hole a little smaller. They sell them here under (Pegboard Peg Locks). Then screw the screw into the smaller hole that the (Pegboard Peg Locks) will make. Then, PERFECTION! In this room I only need the pliers hooks. But I have a strong feeling the other hooks will need replacing (change them out for these), soon. Ok. I've got the "bad" out of the way. Now I want to tout a little on the awesome of these hooks. First, the entire design. And I thought it was going to be a (negative) type of thing. These pliers hook do not come around a full circle to encompass your pliers. They just hold in on the sides with enough of a tilt inward so my pliers do not fall out. I didn't think this would work. But they did it right, and did not skimp on the quality. And now a benifit I did not even factor in. Now, I do not need to lift my pliers up 6 inches to get them out of their prison. Just 1 inch up, and out the door. Then the quality. It's top shelf. I'm looking up my pegboard right now. And comparing the robustness of these hooks, against all the others. And there is no compare. These are the best in quality over 3 other brands I thought were the best offered there. So, at the end, these are the best there could ever be. Anything better would involve a whole different kind of pegboard. There is a steel pegboard if you are just starting. I could not improve on this design. Except for the issue I mentioned at the beginning of this review. And I did fix that. Get a package of (Pegboard Peg Locks) to make the holes a little smaller. After the (Pegboard Peg Locks), then the screws provided will work wonderfully. Cheerio. These hooks are awesome. I am excited to actually get my pliers down and not face a dilemma about a loose hook. $12 has made my life a happier place. That hasn't happened since I was a teenager. wow
Review: Great, with a caveat for 1/4" metal pegboard - These hooks are the BEST when they work, but the screws my recent DuraHook purchases came with didn't work in my galvanized metal 1/4-inch pegboard (AlligatorBoard brand). When I bought some of these hooks a couple years ago they DID come with working screws. The screws I've received recently are slightly too small to hold in metal pegboard - by maybe about 1/32". Here are the kinds of screws I know of: 1. 1/4-inch screws the hooks I've ordered recently came with (too small for metal pegboard) 2. 1/8-inch screws the hooks also come with (have never used, this is for smaller pegboard) 3. 1/4-inch screws I received in the past (about 1/32-inch larger than the newer ones, work great in metal pegboard) You may see conflicting reviews on this site depending on what kind of pegboard people have and what kind of screws they received. I don't know if the manufacturer (Triton Products) changed the screws they use at some point or maybe there's another reason I received different screws at different times. In any case, I contacted the manufacturer and they were able to send me some of the slightly larger screws that work in metal pegboard. These work great, so you probably want this as Plan A. I wasn't able to find the right type of screws from anywhere other than Triton Products; it's an unusual screw made to hold in thin pegboard, with a very coarse thread and only 1/2" long. If you can't obtain the good screws, I explored a couple other options. If you can access the back of your pegboard, it's simple. Use bolts with nuts. If you can't and need a "blind hole" solution, one option I've found is "well nuts" also known as "rubber-insulated rivet nuts"; these are small rubber plugs with a threaded brass insert. When you tighten a bolt in them they compress and expand. It's not elegant but it works. The size you need is the 6-32 threaded, 1/4" hole size, 0.981" overall length. Pair it with a 1" 6-32 machine screw and perhaps an oversized #6 washer. The caveat with the well nuts is that they are almost an inch long, so you need some empty space behind your pegboard. The shorter well nuts I could find were too large in diameter to fit in the pegboard holes. If you don't have an inch behind your pegboard, you might be able to cobble something together by adding a lot of spacer washers to the long well nuts, or there are also non-removable blind rivets of various kinds (I haven't tried those). The DuraHook definitely will not work if you can't get a firm screw or bolt of some kind into your pegboard to hold them. If you have galvanized metal pegboard, don't plan on using the screws these hooks come with. (Though it's possible they work in some brands of metal pegboard, I don't know.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy but wish they were more Malleable
*by R***H on March 19, 2025*

I use a HUNDREDS of this brand with Wall Control pegboard, in various configurations, in an industrial environment, where people slam tools in place and yank them out. Only the 12" pry bars (placed in some) break them. They are fine for everything else. However, I wish the holders with rings (like this one) were more malleable, to better fit tools of varied diameters (screwdrivers, awls, pry bars with handles). I have to vise-up a Spud Wrench and then beat the hoop over the tapered end of the Spud Wrench, with an open wrench and dead blow hammer, to get the hoop to open up the hoop precisely to the desired diameter. And the enlarged hoop usually ends up to be slightly off-center.
