Really compact and good quality, made in Germany too. The primitive system is great, not really any harder than a ratchet once you know how to do it. You get no sudden SNAP on release, and there's much less metal on which to snag yourself, and no finger traps. This has more stretch than a 50mm beginner line (i.e. Gibbon fun line), which means you can't set it quite as low to the groun. If it's your first one or it's for children, you might want to rig it over a shorter distance. (If your anchors are fixed, you can add 'A' frames under it to reduce the effective span.) The tree protection is minimal, I think it's more to protect the line itself. It does not protect the back of the tree at all, so I would use something else as well if using trees as anchors.
